Two hundred fifty students and seven teachers of Loma Elementary School in Amadeo, Cavite wore happy faces as Hocheng Philippines Corporation (HPC), manufacturer of HCG quality bathroom fixtures, in its corporate social initiative called HCG Cares donated ten (10) waterclosets, lavatory with faucet plus soap and paper holder improving the school’s old and tattered facilities.

In a turn-over ceremony held June 29, 2015 in the elementary school, Cynthia Navarro, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) President, expressed her thanks to HPC for the support to their school’s undertaking with an open-heart.

Rosaly Ferrera, Head Teacher 3 and Emerita Vergara, Master Teacher 1 also conveyed to HPC their gratitude in their respective speeches. Furthermore, as a gesture of appreciation select PTA members from parents, students to teachers did a sing and dance presentation that brought the audience in a joyful atmosphere.

In response, Gerald Umpad, Labor-Management Council Chairman of HPC urged the students to use the donated bathroom fixtures well to prolong its life. Umpad added that it’s an honor for HPC to provide a bathroom where one can live. HPC also hopes to reach as many schools in need of a better comfort area.
