Hocheng Philippines Corporation (HCG) and Habitat for Humanity Philippines (HFHP), in a synergistic effort of helping more Filipinos have a decent home, forged partnership thru a contract signing on June 28, 2016.

“The main thrust of Habitat [for Humanity] is total dissemination of poverty housing… a home would flourish if you give them a decent house. It gives stability to the family”, Habitat for Humanity CEO Charlie Ayco said.

While Hocheng Philippines Corporation’s primary business is manufacturing quality bathroom fixtures, the company finds more meaning in making lives better by providing bathroom fixtures to public schools. “If we have good quality products, people will buy from us. But to us, [what’s] more important is we provide non-expensive items [for the poor]”, HCG President Sam Chen said.

Through this shared mission, the private company and the non-profit organization started their meaningful journey together through a charity promotion called “Let’s Make Our Children’s Lives Better.”

In this promotion, for every participating HCG package bought, HCG will donate Php 20 in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The collected money will be donated to HFHP where schools and community centers are targeted to be built. The endeavour will run until May 17, 2017.

Furthermore, aside from its own efforts of donating bathroom fixtures in Cavite public schools, HCG also hopes to expand its reach in helping the less fortunate thru HFHP.
