TV5 Chose HCG for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines (EMHE)

The Kapatid Network teams with HCG in renovating deserving Filipino homes through the only reality show of its kind on TV, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines (EMHE).

EMHE is hosted by the experts who also gives direction for the makeover. Paolo Bediones is the team leader with Tessa Prieto-Valdes as the interior designer in-charge of memorabilias; Divine Lee, resident project manager; Joby Belmonte, purchaser of materials; Tristan Jovellana, interior designer in-charge of the carpentry, and Marilen Faustino-Montenegro, the stylist.

The case studies granted renovations have touching stories to tell that were well researched at the onset. Some are stories of courage like that of Carmita Zulueta-Beleno, victim of both typhoon Ondoy and stage 2 cancer. After the makeover, EMHE encouraged them to give back to the community.

Others, meanwhile, are inspiring stories of selfless giving like the case of Villa Aure of Alfonso, Cavite. Their youngest daughter is suffering from autism and is deaf-mute, yet they devoted their time and home to educate special children. Their generosity makes them deserving of this prize and more. Aside from a new home, EMHE also constructed a school that they can utilize for their cause called ‘Blessed Ville School.’

More than providing the bathroom fixtures, it is an honor for HCG to be part of the families’ new start through this show.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines airs every Sunday, 8:30 pm and The Road to Makeover weekdays at 11:30am on on TV5.
